Dr Astrid Galvez-Sforza, is a Canadian Board-Certified (2017) Venezuelan dentist (2003) who treats patients of all ages and different medical conditions. She has a solid professional background in preventive and social dentistry having also obtained a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Public Health (2013) in Toronto, Ontario.  

Dr Astrid takes the time to listen to her patients’ needs, fears and past experiences and enjoys the social interaction with them. She is skilled with patients’ dental anxiety and treats many “scared of the dentist” people. Speaking four languages (English, Spanish, French and Italian), Dr Astrid has been working in Mississauga for more than 7 years and currently serves patients coming from all of parts of Ontario and other provinces such as Quebec and BC.  

Dr Astrid is experienced in aesthetic and restorative dental cases currently offering general family dentistry (cavity repair, deep cleanings, bonding, nightguards) as well as Invisalign -invisible orthodontics-, extraction of wisdom teeth, crowns, veneers, bridges, partial and complete dentures including dental implant rehabilitation to patients.    

And because it’s not all about clinical skills, Dr Astrid’s friendly, cheerful, and caring personality along with her passion for Dentistry certainly contribute to trust, comfort, and great treatment results. In the end, for her, it’s all about meeting the oral health goals of all her patients.  

Dr Shieh's clinical focus is advanced surgical procedures such as Dental Implants, Sinus Lifts, Gum and Bone Grafting, Gum Reshaping, Gum Bleaching and Wisdom Teeth Extractions.

He comes from a family of passionate dentists, with a family background in dentistry that extends back three generations since 1937. After having finished dentistry and a postgraduate specialty in Periodontics in India, Dr. Shieh immigrated with his wife, an orthodontist, to Canada and promptly became certified by the National Dental Examining Board in 2014.

Dr. Shieh currently serves as a Clinical Site Director for Implant Dentistry at Jacksonville University in Florida. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Implant Dentistry. 

He was a past instructor at the Oral Rehabilitation Centre, Grad Periodontics clinic at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto and The Institute of Dental Excellence in Toronto. In both these positions, he clinically taught and mentored dental students and certified dentists in dental implant surgery and periodontics.

A fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI), he commits his efforts with special interests in hard and soft tissue regeneration related to implant dentistry.  Dr Shieh also volunteers as a committee member at the Ontario Dental Association. 

Dr. Shieh maintains his clinical practice of advanced dental procedures by associating in multiple dental practices in Mississauga and the GTA where his surgical skills are welcomed. He has contributed to many publications and recently has obtained his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He is fluent in English, Chinese, Tamil and limited Hindi. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Shieh enjoys time with his family, vocalizing at a local church and working with youngsters with special needs.

Irina is a self-initiating registered dental hygienist with extensive background and experience in clinical dental hygiene.  She obtained her RDH designation in 2008 and is an alumnus of the Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene.  She has been an active member of the College of Dental Hygienists Ontario (CDHO) and the Canadian Dental Hygienist Association (CDHA) throughout her career.  She continues to advance her skills and knowledge through ongoing training and thrives on adoption of the latest clinical innovations and digital enhancements. Her top priority is empowering her patients through education and supporting their oral health goals with individualized treatment plans.  She stands behind her expertise and believes that anyone can achieve excellent oral health with a little effort at home and her magic touch.  She is extremely caring and compassionate, brings a ton of positive energy and enjoys spoiling her patients.  She loves being surrounded by close friends, family and her adorable Siberian Samoyed.
